Corrections policy

Report an error

Use the contact page and include the article or match URL, the disputed statement and a reliable source. A disagreement with an opinion can be submitted as feedback.

How corrections are handled

Editors should review the evidence and correct verified errors as soon as practical. Significant factual changes should be explained in a visible correction note with the date of the change. Minor spelling fixes do not normally need a correction notice.

Match data and external feeds

Published scores and tables can be delayed or revised. Data corrections should be checked against the competition organiser. If information comes from an external provider, the provider may need to correct its source feed.

Right of reply and rights enquiries

People or organisations directly affected by our reporting may submit a response through the contact page. Copyright owners may provide the affected URL, proof of ownership and the requested remedy. Editors should evaluate requests rather than automatically removing a substantiated report.
