Editorial policy
Our editorial standard
LIVE SCORES BOX coverage should help readers understand what happened, what is confirmed and why it matters. News, analysis, opinion and sponsored material must be clearly distinguished.
Sources and verification
Confirm fixtures, disciplinary decisions, transfers and competition rules with official organisers, clubs or other identifiable primary sources wherever available. Link to source material in context. A social post or third-party report alone is not confirmation of a disputed claim. Unconfirmed reporting must be attributed and labelled.
Original work and attribution
Do not republish articles, photographs, logos or data feeds without the necessary rights. Credit quoted material and keep quotations proportionate. Add reporting, explanation or analysis instead of rewriting another publisher’s article sentence by sentence.
Bylines, dates and updates
Published articles should identify their author and publication date. Substantive updates should carry an updated date. An author profile should describe the author’s actual role and experience. Do not invent credentials, interviews or quotations.
AI-assisted work
Tools may support research, transcription or drafting, but the editor remains responsible for factual checking, originality and publication. Material use of synthetic media must be identified where it could mislead readers. Automated output should never be published at scale solely to attract search traffic.
Commercial independence
Paid placements and affiliate links must be disclosed close to the relevant content. Advertisers must not be represented as independent editorial sources. See the corrections policy to report a concern.
